Avoid Some Regions
UK FCDO: The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to areas within 20km of the land border with Thailand. Heavy fighting along that border during 2025, including airstrikes and artillery fire, ended with a ceasefire signed on 27 December, but border crossings remain suspended and some tourist sites near the border are closed.
