Soltaniyeh is a small town in Zanjan Province, northwestern Iran, once the capital of the Ilkhanid Mongol dynasty. It is dominated by the UNESCO-listed Dome of Soltaniyeh, the mausoleum of Oljaytu and one of the largest brick domes in the world. The town sits on a high plain along the route between Zanjan and Qazvin.
