The official currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD), which is pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate, and US dollars are widely accepted alongside local currency. The wetter season runs from June to November, coinciding with the Atlantic hurricane season, though Saint Vincent and the Grenadines sits at the southern edge of the hurricane belt and sees fewer direct storm impacts than islands further north. Temperatures remain warm throughout the year, hovering around 27 to 30 degrees Celsius regardless of season.

English is the official language and is used in government, education, and business throughout the islands. Many Vincentians also speak Vincentian Creole, an English-based creole with French and African influences, in informal and everyday settings. Travellers will find communication straightforward in English across the entire country.
