Lviv Historic Centre
The ensemble of Lviv's historic centre has retained its medieval street layout while accumulating Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Neoclassical buildings that reflect more than seven centuries of Central European urban life. Rynok Square forms the heart of the old town, surrounded by merchant houses, churches, and the remnants of distinct Armenian, Jewish, and Catholic Polish quarters. UNESCO inscribed the property in 1998 in recognition of its outstanding universal value as a meeting point of European cultures.

Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians
The Uholka-Shyrokyi Luh massif in Ukraine's Zakarpattia Oblast is the largest surviving primeval beech forest on Earth, covering some 8,800 hectares of the Carpathian Mountains in a state largely undisturbed by human activity. The forests contain beech specimens of exceptional age and scale, and represent a near-complete record of ecological succession in temperate European woodland. The transboundary serial site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List in 2007.

Historically, tipping was customary in Ukraine. At restaurants, 10% was standard for good service. Taxi drivers and hotel staff typically received small tips. These norms continue in parts of the country that are functioning, but conditions on the ground have changed fundamentally.
Mobile networks continue to operate in much of government-controlled Ukraine via Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, and lifecell. Coverage and reliability vary significantly by region and proximity to the conflict. Internet access is available but infrastructure has been damaged in some areas.
